William E. Carson III, M.D.
Dr. Carson is Professor of Surgery, and Associate Director for Clinical Research at the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center. His interests focus on the impact of the immune system on tumors, the use of a family of hormones called cytokines in the treatment of breast cancers, and the impact of stress on the cancer patient, particularly breast cancer patients.
Dr Carson is also a key member of the Institutional Review Board, a group of researchers and professional research administrators who provide peer review for new research.
This interview provides a view into the process of conducting clinical trials, and the impact of these results on both patients and clinicians.
